GCBPA President – Frank Ruggerie

Cincinnati has always been home to me. My family lived in North College Hill and in 1960 my father built Colerain Bowl. I graduated from Roger Bacon and the University of Notre Dame and later spent six years in the U.S. Army and working for the government.

Part-time work at the bowling center drew me into a recreational sport that would help to define a large portion of my life. In 1978 I began working full time at Colerain Bowl. In 1999 I began working on a state project to integrate Bowling as an Ohio high school varsity sport and in 2006, Bowling was recognized by the Ohio High School Athletic Association. After 30 years, I still find this work challenging and satisfying.
